Nutritional Information:  Wild garlic (Allium ursinum) is superior to ordinary garlic (Allium sativum). Scientific tests show that wild garlic contains more active nutrients than ordinary garlic. The special properties in wild garlic are: ajoene, gamma-gluamyl peptides and adenosine. All 3  substances are effective in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. In addition, adenosine can help reduce platelet aggregation (blood stickiness). Wild garlic contains 20 times more adenosine than ordinary garlic!

Benefits: Supports healthy blood pressure levels and promotes cardiovascular health. Traditionally used to help reduce elevated blood lipid levels. Helpful for gastrointestinal health and odourless after ingestion. Protect against free radical damage. Increases micro circulation.

Description:  Awarded the “Medicinal Plant of the Year”, Alpine Garlic has 20 times more potency to reduce blood “thickness”.  This powerful supplement helps lower blood pressure and high blood lipid count, removes blood clots and increases blood flow even in capillaries. Extracted from wild European garlic leaves, Alpine Garlic is odorless because of its high chlorophyll content. A garlic supplement par excellence.

Alpine garlic grows wild in the mountains of Central Europe. The active substances are found in the leaves rather than in the bulb or clove. It has active substances not found in cultivated garlic, or found only when large quantities are taken.

Refer to Dr Dalls Clouatre's book "European Wild Garlic" for details on the pharmacological benefits of wild garlic for further reading.

Processing: The leaves are hand-picked in the spring during one -week period, then processed quickly. They are cleaned, washed, dried, and milled under low temperatures. During this processing, adenosine levels are monitored to guarantee at least 1,100 mg/kg.

Traditional and modern medical assessments indicate that wild garlic exhibits all of the following actions:

  • Protects against arteriosclerosis (arteries becomes thick and stiff)

  • Protects against elevated blood lipids (fatty acids and cholesterol)

  • Reduces blood viscosity (thickness and stickiness of blood) and vascular resistance (resistance to blood flow)

  • Reduces excess blood coagulation and improves fibrinolysis (removal of blood clots)

  • Improves Heart arrhythmias

  • Protect against free radicals and reduces rheumatic complaints

  • Has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties superior to those of regular garlic

  • Widen the blood vessels, which may affect blood pressure.

  • Increase mircrocirculation

  • improves the health of the gastrointestinal tract

  • Act as a muscle relaxant and as a protectant against poisons such as caffeine

  • improves the gaseous exchange mechanism, i.e., the oxygenation of the tissues and removal of wastes

  • Like regular garlic, may protect against the development of tumors and cancers

Impressive! Wild garlic does all of this and still leaves no odour on the breath! The usual amount taken is a mere 300 mg. 3 times per day, so a lot of benefits come in a very small package.
